Marc Lasry

Marc Lasry is an American businessman and private equity manager who serves as co-founder and CEO of Avenue Capital Group, an American multinational investment firm. Lasry previously owned part of the National Basketball Association’s Milwaukee Bucks from 2014 to 2023. After selling his stake in the team in 2023, he launched the Avenue Sports Opportunities Fund, which invests in women’s sports and other sports vehicles, including basketball teams in Africa and other sports teams in Asia. Lasry served as a director of the 92nd Street Y and the Big Apple Circus and was a trustee of the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan.
