Grant Hill is a board member of the Duke University board of trustees, where he serves as chair of the committee on honorary degrees and on the executive governance and undergraduate education committee. A four-year player at Duke University, Hill has been touted as one of the greatest college basketball players of all time. Hill co-owns the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association (NBA) and also holds a limited partner ownership interest in Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer and Orlando Pride of the National Women’s Soccer League. He is also part of the ownership group that purchased the Baltimore Orioles in 2024. Hill was named managing director of the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, which recently won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, in 2021. He also serves as a board member and officer of the NBA Retired Players Association. In the NBA, Hill played for the Detroit Pistons, the Orlando Magic, the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers.
