David Blitzer currently serves on the board of trustees at the University of Pennsylvania, Dream, the Riverdale Country School, and the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation; the advisory board of the Mount Sinai Surgical Department and the board of governors for the National Basketball Association (NBA), NBA Africa, National Hockey League and Major League Soccer. He is the co-founder and co-managing partner of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), with properties including but not limited to the New Jersey Devils, the Philadelphia 76ers, the Prudential Center, the Penn Medicine 76ers Training, Wollman Rink, the Sixers Innovation Lab and HBSE Ventures. He is also the global head of Blackstone’s tactical opportunities group and a member of the firm’s management and operating committees. David graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Through the Devils Youth Foundation, the Sixers Youth Foundation and the Blitzer Family Foundation, he and his wife Allison regularly invest in many charitable organizations, especially those that positively impact community and youth development.
